Came up the stairs at Metro Center and saw this woman with her son attached to her roller duffel. I wanted to hug her.
I don't really need to explain to you guys the #1 annoyance on the metro - luggage. And I don't need to explain the #2 annoyance on the metro - children. To have this woman handling annoyances #1 and #2 like a pro - awesome beyond comprehension.
She appeared to be married, so it seems the perfect woman is already off the market.
Do you get the impression that when he was smaller she might have stowed him inside the bag for short trips? Nah, only I would do that.
Note on quality.... iPhone 4 (no "S") so camera/video sucks. Had to take vertical video because I was pretending to be reading email while shooting. I don't want to get caught and end up explaining to the Metro Police that I have a blog and that's why I'm filming strangers riding the metro. They don't seem likely to care about my blog excuse.
Hell yes! Major props to that mom. Ladies (and men) of the Metro could learn something from her. Just because you are too lazy to take shit out of you bag because you have to bring a computer for work doesn't mean you should be allowed to take up 3x the cubic footage you normally would. Fuck off, already.
