On Tuesday I had the pleasure of attending a food and wine tasting at Pound the Hill. Originally a craft coffeehouse, Pound the Hill has since expanded its horizons to include a full-service bistro and wine bar.
Thoughtfully rendered dishes were paired with exquisite lesser-known wines. Each course was accompanied by an explanation from both the chef and the sommelier. My favorite nosh of the night was a chilled English pea soup. Refreshing and bright, it was summer playfulness on the palate.
Pound the Hill's quiet back garden patio is the perfect setting for a relaxing summer meal or intimate party. I'm just happy their 4-4-4 happy hour is still under wraps -- it's a wonder this place isn't a zoo. I can't wait to go back.
